Flood water is classified into 3 categories – black, grey and clear.
Black water is generally sewer water or some other contaminant. In these cases, the carpet and pad are NOT salvageable. In these situations we will will extract the water from the carpet and pad plus remove and dispose of them.Grey water is usually water that comes out of a sump crock overflow. This water may look clean, but it’s picked up microorganisms as it filters down through the soil. In most of these cases, we can save the carpet and pad. If you have insurance covering this loss, check with your agent first.
Clear water is most often from a broken or leaking pipe. In almost all of these situations we can save the carpet and pad. Our powerful extraction equipment will get the water out of the carpet and pad, quickly dry the area and then clean and sanitize the carpet.
With some floods, the bottoms of your finished walls may have to be opened to allow for drying. We also work with a restoration company for this type of extreme damage.
After the carpet, pad and the bottoms of the walls are fully dried, we will have a carpet installer stretch and reattach the carpet.
